Women's merino wool pullover

The star fibre of winter knitwear, merino wool is the yarn Soeur favours for both fine pullovers and more structured styles. Soft, breathable, dense without weighing you down, it accompanies the body every day, under a shirt or under a coat. Our collection of pullovers and cardigans gathers round-collar, V-collar, boat-neck pullovers, polos and cardigans, knitted in merino wools selected for their texture and durability.

Why choose a merino wool pullover?

Merino wool ticks several boxes at once. It keeps you warm without weighing you down: thanks to its fine fibre, it can also be worn in between seasons, close to the body, under a blazer. It regulates temperature, making it a comfortable fabric across different climates. It holds its shape better than a more rustic wool, without weighing or scratching. For those who feel the cold, the thick merino wool pullover becomes the ally for the coldest days; for others, the fine pullover slips on anywhere. The wool pullover Classique offers wider, more enveloping styles; the merino styles remain the easiest to combine within a wardrobe.

How to care for a merino wool pullover?

Merino wool requires a little care, but remains more forgiving than other fine wools. Wash it by hand or in the machine on a wool cycle at 30°C, without spinning, with a gentle detergent; dry it flat on a towel, away from the radiator. Tumble drying and ironing are best avoided. Between washes, a little fresh air and a gentle brush are enough to keep the piece in shape. The same applies to all merino styles: the fine pullover, the cardigan, the sleeveless pullover. Some pilling may appear after several wears; it can be removed with a small lint comb or a fabric shaver. Well cared for, a merino pullover can be worn for several winters.
